岁寒三友壶，用墨绿泥 、紫泥、段泥、黑泥四种原矿紫砂泥料拼贴而成，颜色搭配巧妙。壶之嘴、把、钮各指岁寒三友之一，壶钮为弯曲的松枝，三湾嘴为竹节，把为梅的虬枝。壶身也由梅桩、松桩与竹叶装饰，松树部分龟裂纹遍布，纹路上更有鳞片样伸展开来的细碎树皮，偶有一两个结痂的树瘤，技艺精湛。不规则的嵌盖 与壶身贴合紧密。
This teapot with designs of three friends of winter, enjoying artistic color assortment, is characterized by collage of four kinds of purple clay materials, i.e. dark green clay1, purple clay, Duan clay (a kind of paragenetic mineral of Benshan green clay and purple clay) and black clay. The spout, handle and knob of teapot show three friends of winter. Knot takes the shape of curved pine branch; the spout with three bends is in the shape of bamboo joint and the handle is just like the tortuous branch of plum tree. Besides, the body is decorated with pictures of plum tree, pine and bamboo leaves. Cracks with pattern of fine bark extend all over the part with design of pine. With one or two burls, excellent craftsmanship is perfectly showed. Moreover, the irregular embedded lid2 closely fits into the body.
