青蛙莲心壶（段泥胎），以荷花、青蛙为素材，于传统中出新意，构思巧妙。选用段泥制壶，壶体仿佛荷花对月盛放；盖上敷墨绿泥拟青青的莲蓬，莲子在盖内生嫩俏皮，壶盖上蹲坐一只望天的青蛙作壶钮，蛙身青黄相接。壶底塑三足，分别为荸荠、菱角、莲藕，将江南水乡特色融于一壶，更添吉祥美意。莲藕上侧生出莲茎，连接壶口围裹莲叶，筋纹脉络细致入微。莲梗做壶把，衔接自然，气韵贯通，形态生动静心观之，莲叶田田，荷香悠悠的美景跃然眼前。
This teapot with designs of frog and lotus nut (made from Duan clay), is characterized by ingenious design with traditional materials. With Duan clay as material, the body is in the shape of blooming lotus. Dark green clay is applied on the lid to imitate green lotus seedpod with tender lotus seeds. A sculpture of sitting green and yellow frog looking up at the sky is used as the knob. The three feet respectively take the shape of water chestnut, water caltrop and lotus root. Thus, this teapot possesses the characteristics of regions south of the Yangtze River and symbolizes luck. A stem from the lotus root connects with spout and surrounds the lotus leaf. Handle of the teapot, taking the shape of lotus stalk, creates a natural and artistic sense. Observe the teapot leisurely and calmly and you will see the beautiful scenery of lotus.
